CallCentric Reviews

CallCentric is an internet phone service provider that uses either your computer or a telephone adapter to place calls via the internet. CallCentric allows for free calls to other CallCentric customers and low-rate calls to traditional phones. CallCentric offers VoIP-based broadband phone services for both residential and business users. Their services include all of the essential features, free local numbers, and much more.

Consider the IP Freedom phone service. As long as you are calling another CallCentric customer, with the proper installed software (or an IP-adapted phone), the call is absolutely 100% free. The only downside is that you can’t call anyone on a landline.

What does CallCentric offer?

CallCentric has three different paid calling plans available. The first, Pay Per Call, is an extension of the IP Freedom calling plan. You simply credit a small amount to your account and you can call anywhere in world, at low VoIP rates. That’s it. You only pay for what you use. Calls within the CallCentric network are still free. The second and third plans are the North America Unlimited Plan and the World Select Plan. Both are for a low monthly fee and both offer unlimited calls: North America Unlimited to North America and World Select to 35 countries around the globe. All CallCentric’s plans (even IP Freedom) have wonderful features included, like voicemail, browser management, and more.

At 1st, I ordered voip.com service. But I didn't get phone adapter and also phone number after more than 1o days. So, I canceled the voip.com service and jumped into callcentric. So far i am very happy with service.

I really like prices and the voice quality offered by Callcentric. You can set your own package with income and outcome plans. Very good. I tried customer service by e-mail and was excellent I got my answer in 30 minutes.

I just signed up 2 days ago. Setup was fairly easy using the Grandstream 286 I bought through Atacomm. The instructions on the website worked well. Call quality seems good so far. I am paying $5.95 per month for to receive calls and using the Pay Per Call for outgoing. Rates for outgoing seem good compared to most others, especially for international calls. I haven't had to call support, so I can't comment on that. I like not having to pay connection fees. You still have to pay $8.25 for your phone (DID) number (one-time charge) and $4.40 (I think monthly) for 911 fee. It cost me altogether about $70 including equipment to get started with this. I think it was well worth it.

I use Callcentric with asterisk. It works well, I have no major complaints. My calls are completed and the sound quality is very good. The couple of times I needed help, I opened a trouble ticket and support immediately addressed my concerns. The only complaint I have is that they don't allow you to pass your own caller ID, and while I have never opened a trouble ticket on this one, the DTMF signaling seems not always to pass properly... it's good enough for basic menus, but if you want to send or receive any long string of digits (ie. bank card number, etc.) sometimes it doesn't work right. But excellent service overall. Would highly recommend to anyone needing cheap calling-- particularly cheap international calling. Their rates are some of the best I have found.

I'm trying to call Brazil from USA. I could not complete it. Customer service is not helping too much. Local call in USA does not have high quality.

This is a real bare bones service that works.
Would be nice to have access numbers but then that would be asking for too much at this price.
Perfect for people who mostly make calls.

Guys, I have been able to try a few providers, one of them was Zingo Telecom in US. That provider is a band of crooks who were sucking money from my credit cards until I delt with them via my bank and reissuing my credit cards in order to block the charges.
Another BYOD VoIP provider is sipnet.ru - Russian company with mean quality bt very flexible billing and configuration panel, but that company does not offer inbound phone numbers.
Then I started searching for good and reliable company, I was looking at Vonage (I have it running in my Company), but it is not what wanted... after a month of reading reviews an? comparing prices, policies and calling tech support to most companies, I finally got to CallCentric.com and was really surprised. Quality of calls is almost on the high level (among the companies I did try services - it has the best quality), flexible options, no registration and cancellation fees, complete control of billing system in my account and much more... Tech support is on highest level... SO, I am really surprised with the company and the way how they make business. Hope to stay with them as long as possible...
